Booked a 2 night stay at their Studio Suite for me and my daughter. Accessible location, since it's situated at the heart of Malate which is walking distance to Robinsons Place Manila, restaurants, bars, shops and Baywalk (a must for me :)). Check in and check out are quite a breeze. The coordinators responds immediately to my queries. Security in handling guests at the main lobby is quite strict (for security purposes) especially since they are handling multiple service apartments in the tower (Birth Tower). Studio suite is good enough for a maximum of two people. It has kitchenette with complete utensils, cooking equipment(s) and loaded refrigerator ( for additional cost). Bathroom is complete too with free toiletries and cold and hot water (rainshower). They also have a gym, table tennis and swimming pool, but I wasn't able to really enjoy it coz it's quite deep for me (about 5 ft) and my daughter, and very cold water too! What I love most is the view of Malate - Remedios Circle, Manila Bay up to Mall of Asia <3. I have forgotten our floor, but we were given a room in a very high floor, thus giving us access to our fascinating view :). And most of all, my daughter and I truly had a wonderful rest and bonding moments as we also explore other parts of Malate and nearby attractions during that 2 nights stay :) Date of Stay: June, 2017 I will definitely give this another try :)

We arrive at the place late in the evening. This is our stop over before we go to pangasinan. The place have a great view and surrounded with bars, malls and stores. So if you want nightly then this place is good for you. Their free breakfast also delicious. I must say that twhat you pay for is worth it. I think? Sorry got only to stay here to sleep for a night.

Stunning view of Manila

Our family thoroughly enjoyed these condominium-type suites for our Christmas break atop Birch Tower, one of the tallest residential buildings in Malate. It's a great place for relaxed staycations if you feel like to just stay in and marvel at the amazing city and bayside views from your room balcony, especially at sunset. If not, Birch Tower is right smack in the busy midst of Manila's tourist district, so you won't have trouble walking to or riding a jeepney to a lunch or dinner place, to a nightout spot, to Roxas Boulevard for a bayside run, or to nearby parks, museums and heritage sites to fully enjoy what the city has to offer.

Upon arrival, I was given a room on the 30th floor across from the bayview suites office. I was so tired from my 12 hour flight delay, I didn't really look at everything in the room when I first got in. I paid for a room upgrade for the executive room, but upon looking, apparently they have family living there, and tried to give me one of there family members rooms to save money. The top half of the closet was locked up with someone else's belongings in it. It did not have hot water, luke warm at best, and some of the kitchen cabinets were broken off the hinges. When I went to complain, I was told that was as hot as the water got in the building, and it was "not dangerous" to have somebody else's property in my room. I was on the brink of losing it on the lady. She then gave me a room on the 48th floor, which was more like what I paid for, but nothing special, clean, had burners in the kitchen, microwave, flat screen tv pots, pans, etc. The view from the balcony was really the only thing that stood out, it was amazing. Calling the hotel office, you would have to ask atleast twice for help, or new towels, or room cleaning etc. I think the workers were all family, defiantly not typical hotel staff. The second room was nice, but I have to give it this rating for what they tried to give me at first, and trying to take advantage of me, and rip me off. Won't give them a second chance.

It was supposed to be a cousin's wedding but the wedding was postponed. Good thing I booked at Bayview Designer's Suite. When you book for BDS, don't expect that you're stepping into a hotel. It's actually a condotel. There are others at Birch Tree Tower, aside from BDS. Pros: 1. Just a few steps away from Robinson's Manila 2. Easy to get a cab (except during rush hours) 3. Comfortable 2 double-sized bed which could accommodate 2 regular-sized persons 4. Furnished like a condo 5. Spacious room, spacious toilet and bath Cons: 1. Numerous people going up and down the building as it has other condo units used by clients such as i. Security may be compromised with this kind of operation. 2. Airconditioning unit does not actually cool the room. 3. Plated breakfast at a tiny cafe which only starts getting ready at 6AM, instead of getting started to serve clients. 4. Pool was under renovation at the time of booking, which was a disappointment coz we were not informed ahead and we planned to go swimming on our 1st night. It's good for a few nights' stay. But doesn't give you the kind of convenience and services a real hotel does.
